Get your juices flowing.
These are uncertain times, but one thing is for sure – we need to look after ourselves and our health.
The best way to do that is by keeping our distance from other people, exercising in some fashion, getting enough rest and eating well.
If you’re looking for simple but delicious ways to get vital nutrients into your body to boost your immune system, look no further.
Load up with berries
Most fruit and vegetables are rich in antioxidants, including vitamin C, one of the most important antioxidants for immunity.
High levels of vitamin C are found in berries, kiwifruit and citrus. Dark berries such as blueberries and blackberries along with strawberries are particularly great to use in immunity-boosting drinks because they’re high in antioxidants-rich flavonols.
Fresh or frozen berries are both fine or use a mix of both.

Go global
While most of us will be staying at home for the next little while, you can take your taste buds on a world trip.
Traditional Asian ingredients such as turmeric, lime and ginger add freshness and zing to juices while bringing an immunity boost. Tropical fruit like papaya are full of folate, B vitamins and vitamin A and C – all of which help your immune system function properly. A little bit of papaya goes a long way, so if you’re making a juice, be sure to add other fruit like pineapple or orange as well.

Oranges and lemons
One of the best ways to boost your immunity is with citrus fruit. But if the thought of drinking lemon juice sets your tooth enamel on edge, never fear – there are plenty of delicious ways to get your citrus fix.
Some citrus are fine to drink neat – like oranges and mandarins. But if you’d prefer to reduce the tang, it’s easy to mix your fruit and veg – carrot and Clementine, say. Or lace citrus with apple juice – add it to grapefruit juice along with fresh ginger.

Go green
You knew we couldn’t talk about immunity-boosting juices without mentioning a certain colour, right?
Green juices are here to stay and for good reason – how else could you get that many nutrients in a single glass?
Any fruit or vegetable that’s green is great for health (the darker the green the better), so throw them all in – try kale and spinach with celery, pear, avocado, apple and lime. Be sure to taste as you go – you may want to add some coconut water, a frozen banana or orange juice to give drinks some sweetness.
