A new colour-changing gin is hitting supermarket shelves next week
The limited-edition spirit will return to stores next week.
Come Wednesday next week, it will be hard to know if the supermarket crowds are there for the toilet paper or the return of McQueen’s Forest Fruits Gin.
The cult buy will return to shelves next week, where it is expected to sell out in a matter of days.
The blue-tinged tipple is made from classic gin botanicals, such as juniper, angelica and cassia with the addition of raspberries and grapefruit.
What makes this gin so remarkable is its ability to change colour from royal blue to purple, mauve and rose pink when mixers are added. This is due to the inclusion of butterfly pea flower, an exotic flower from Thailand that is pH sensitive.
McQueen’s Forest Fruits Gin is priced at $49.99 for a 700ml bottle. You can find it at selected discount supermarkets from Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
