Cocktails can't get more classic than this perfect combination of whisky and vermouth.

INGREDIENTS

  • 60ml bourbon or rye whisky
  • 30ml sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Orange peel, to serve
  • Amarena cherries, to serve

METHOD

    Place all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled. Rub the orange peel around the rim of a coupe or martini glass, then fill with chilled mixture. Garnish with amarena cherries and orange peel.
